Benefits Consulting Services recently had the opportunity to attend a Provider Meet and Greet hosted by the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation at the Sarasota VR Office. During the event, our team shared essential information on the critical role of Benefits Planning for all Vocational Rehabilitation customers receiving SSDI, SSI, or both. We emphasized how understanding work incentives, income reporting, and long-term financial planning can empower individuals to pursue employment while maintaining financial and healthcare stability. It was a valuable platform to reinforce how Benefits Planning is not just helpful—but essential—for informed decision-making and successful employment outcomes.
A powerful highlight of the event was hearing from our co-founder, Robert Bloxam, who is an individual with a disability. Robert, who has cerebral palsy and is quadriplegic, shared his personal journey navigating employment, working with Vocational Rehabilitation, and managing the complexities of public benefits. His story offered a firsthand perspective on the real challenges individuals face and underscored the importance of accurate, supportive benefits counseling. His message resonated strongly with attendees and brought meaningful context to the work we do every day.
The event also provided a great opportunity to connect with Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors from Cape Coral, Port Charlotte, Venice, Sarasota, and Palmetto. We were proud to share our expertise, answer questions, and provide practical guidance that counselors can use to better support their customers. As a leading Provider in the state of Florida, Benefits Consulting Services is known for delivering accurate, individualized, and timely benefits counseling that helps both counselors and customers navigate complex systems with confidence. We look forward to continuing to build strong partnerships across the state and supporting VR professionals in helping individuals achieve meaningful, sustainable employment.
